Our Story

We set out to discover why executive search didn’t work for Black women. What we learned surprised us: Executive search didn’t work for anyone.

Companies were hiring resumes and who they knew -- not for values fit, growth stage and technical skills. New executives didn’t know what culture, values, or growth stage they were walking into.

After a lot of time, money, and frustration, the new executive would leave. A “good fit” on day one, was not a good fit in year one. And the search would be repeated.

Nationally, 50% of external searches end in a failed search.

So, we looked at the rules of executive search. And decided to rewrite them. To work for everyone.

  • Instead of hiring embellishments of success and erasures of failure (resumes), we make matches based on skills, values, and company stage of growth.
